Meet Our Veterinarians
Dr. Charles S. McCully
Dr. Charles McCully graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. He earned his undergraduate degree in Animal Science, with a minor in Chemistry, from Illinois State University.
Dr. McCully grew up on a farm in Lacon, Illinois, and is a third-generation veterinarian. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, and their children, Kyle and Sam.
He also has three Labrador Retrievers named Daisy, Rudy, and Ralph.
Dr. Maggie Eadie
Dr. Maggie Eadie graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 after earning her undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She joined Marshall County Veterinary Clinic in 2017.
Originally from Moweaqua, Illinois, Dr. Maggie enjoys caring for pets through every stage of life, from puppyhood and kittenhood through their senior years. She especially enjoys surgery, with a special interest in soft tissue procedures ranging from routine spays and neuters to mass removals and more advanced abdominal surgeries.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Maggie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters, Lexi and Addie. Their family also includes Penny, a playful Labrador Retriever, and Marshmellow, a laid-back black cat she jokingly describes as a “burnt marshmallow.” In her free time, she loves reading, camping, hiking, and traveling to beaches and national parks. Many of her weekends are spent cheering on her daughters at soccer, basketball, and golf events.
Dr. Alan M. McCully
Dr. Alan M. McCully graduated from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing at Marshall County Veterinary Clinic in Lacon since 1979. He is a second-generation veterinarian.
Before joining Marshall County Veterinary Clinic, Dr. McCully practiced in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Outside of the clinic, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife, three children, and eight grandchildren.
Dr. Annie Ryan
Dr. Annie Ryan graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019 after earning her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Illinois in 2015. She joined Marshall County Veterinary Clinic in 2023.
Originally from Dallas City, Illinois, Dr. Ryan enjoys working as a team with dedicated owners to help diagnose and manage chronic disease. As a mixed animal veterinarian, she also especially values the moments when she can help deliver a calf and watch it take its first steps. Her professional interests include client education and large animal medicine.
Dr. Ryan and her husband, Guthrie, live on his family’s fourth-generation grain farm with their two young sons. Their farm is also home to Olive, the dog she adopted during veterinary school, two spoiled barn cats named Whitcomb and Loraine, a flock of chickens, and feeder steers. Outside of work, Dr. Ryan enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and cheering on the Illini.
